Updates and New Products: Featuring Hydroponics Club!
What's happening this week, 9/20, at Anabel's!
Hi friends!
From all of us here at Anabel’s, THANK YOU for such a lovely opening week. We are so excited to have the store open this fall and you all exceeded our expectations for week one!
Let’s keep this going! Anabel’s is open for the same hours this week:
Wednesday: 3-7 PM
Thursday: 3-7 PM
Friday: 12-5 PM
A reminder that on Fridays after 3 PM, we will be running a sale on some of our produce. This will be at a “pay what you can” rate and will support our anti-racist grant.
Sadly, we do not have Apple Pay capabilities yet! Our payment methods include all major credit card companies, except AMEX, and Cornell card.
New Product Alert!
This week we will have honeynut squash available. Grown locally and super delicious, this variety was actually developed at Cornell in partnership with Dan Barber.
We are also getting our first Hydroponics Club delivery this week! Products will include fresh basil plants and lettuces. Check them out @cornellhydroponicsclub to see how they grow the lettuce and basil!
Along with Dilmun Hill produce sales, all money raised through the sale of these delicious vegetables and herbs will go to support anti-racist action on campus in the spring. The allocation of these funds will be decided by a panel of students later in the semester with the end goal of increasing food justice at Cornell. Thank you for supporting the cause and we hope you enjoy the produce!
Product! Spotlight!
Okra!
This week’s recipe comes from the Program Assistant for the Office of Spirituality and Meaning-Making, Collins Peters. He enjoys this recipe as a staple meal prep and encourages students to try it out! A super fun and delicious way to use Dilmun Hill’s awesome Okra :)
