This Week In Anabel's! (11/27)
This will be our last week of operations for the semester :( We hope you have had a great semester with us! We have loved serving our community and cannot wait for more to come next semester! Saturday, 12/2 will be the last day that we are open.
Anti Racist Action Fund
We have extended the deadline to apply for the antiracism action fund! See the poster and link below to apply!
The antiracism action fund was designed in 2020 to reduce the financial barrier for groups on campus and in the community who are contributing to addressing issues of racism and/or food injustice. By selling produce generously donated by Dilmun Hill Student Farm and Hydroponics Club at Anabel’s Grocery, nearly $3,000 has been raised in two years. In the past, the grant has supported the Delta Sigma Theta sorority and Basic Needs Coalition in making 50 meal kits for students before Thanksgiving. The grant has also helped discount food orders from Watermargin, a primarily BIPOC and low-income cooperative living house. For more information on the grant, please visit the application link or email anabelscollabedu@gmail.com and cc anabelsgrocery@gmail.com.
Application Guidelines:
On or off-campus organizations engaging in anti-racism work can apply
You may request any sum of money, but we recommend anywhere from $200-500 depending on your needs
Grant recipients must track performance metrics and submit a brief memo outlining the outcomes of the event after it takes place
*Multiple groups can apply together if you are collaborating on an event

And the winner is…
Bird’s Eye Chili!
These small peppers will pack a punch! They are hotter than a jalapeño pepper but less hot than a habanero pepper. We offer them in a dried form which makes them great for long term storage! You can buy them in advance for use in broths, sauces, and marinades. They will add a nice fruity sweet heat to your cooking.
