Also be on the lookout for your favorite gluten-free muffins, bagels, and breads from Laurie’s Grain-Free Bakehouse; Cramp Bites from Aunt Flo’s Kitchen; sliced bread from Ithaca Bakery; ground and whole coffee beans from Gimme! Coffee, and much, much more!
Changes in Reusable Items
In line with our efforts to limit plastic and paper waste at Anabel’s, we are planning to implement charges for our plastic containers, egg cartons, kombucha cups, and paper shopping bags:
Whole egg carton: $0.75
Half egg carton: $0.40
Kombucha cups: $0.75
Paper shopping bags: $0.50
Small plastic containers: $0.50
Medium plastic containers: $0.75
Large plastic containers: $0.99
However, this week only, we will NOT be charging for the egg cartons or plastic containers! The student working at the register will mark the egg carton and plastic container with a sharpie. You can then bring those same containers (or any reusable container of your choice) back in the future and will not be charged for them.
This semester and beyond, we hope to see more students bring their own containers, egg cartons, and other reusable items to support our work towards a more environmentally-sound food system!
The entire Anabel’s team is excited to be pursing our mission of providing affordable, fresh, and nutritious food in order to better the food system for all. There’s a lot of new and great returning items while the semester continues that we hope you enjoy :)
